Won five of his thirteen chase starts including the Grade 3 Becher Chase (3m2f) off a handicap mark of 142 over the National fences here two years ago and the Grade 3 Grand National trial (3m4f) at Haydock from a four lb higher mark in February last year. In the latter race he beat former RSA Chase and Becher Chase winner Blaklion who is a leading Grand National fancy again this year. He has been amongst the Grand National runners the past two seasons finishing seventh and then sixth last year and also took in the Becher Chase again in December finishing seventh behind Blaklion. He likes these fences having completed on all four occasions and looks a Grand National runner with another live chance in 2018.
