Tip #1: Galia Des Liteaux
Galia Des Liteaux put up one of the weight carrying performances of the season when just failing to give 20lb to My Silver Lining in the Classic Chase at Warwick. That horse has gone on to frank that form with placed runs in the Haydock Grand National trial and the Midlands National as is now rated 11lb higher than the run at Warwick. Galia Des Liteaux is a mare who is at her best on soft ground who still might be ahead of the handicapper as that runner-up spot at Warwick was only her first run in a handicap. She clearly stays 3m 5f at least and would appear to have a good chance of seeing out the Grand National trip well and with the stable fighting for the trainers' championship she looks sure to be trained to the minute. The Skelton team have made a habit of winning big handicaps at the festivals this season notably Cheltenham and here at Aintree yesterday. Steady in the market and 28/1 available with some firms this morning although generally shorter.
Tip #2: Mr Incredible
You have to go back to 2005 to find a Willie Mullins Grand National winner which was Hedgehunter, since then he has sent 48 runners to the National without success, however, he has had placed runners in 2018, 2019, 2021 & 2023 so has been banging on the door of late and let's not forget, he had a great Cheltenham and a winner here would top that off! Mr Incredible is fairly lightly raced with only 11 starts under rules but has already put in some great runs, runner up in a valuable chase at Warwick on heavy ground over 3m5f and was followed up by a third in the Kim Muir last year before unseating in this race last year when unluckily the saddle slipped when seemingly going well. He has only been seen once since that run and was runner-up in the Midlands Grand National behind Beauport which makes you think the yard has been keeping his mark protected for this year. He runs off 150 this year which is 5lbs higher than last year but I just feel he was going well last year and the ground will be more testing this time around which will be to his liking, time for Willie Mullins to end his barren spell in the National and Mr Incredible could be the one to do just that. Solid in the Grand National betting market on Saturday, 14/1 generally available with a few firms.
Tip #3: Panda Boy
Irish trainer Martin Brassil saddled Numbersixvalverde to Grand National success in 2006 so knows what it takes to prepare a horse for this great race. Interestingly he also had his prep race over hurdles before winning at Aintree, which Panda Boy has done when finishing a good 4th of 22 at the Dublin Festival at Leopardstown in February. A slight concern is the lack of jumping experience with only nine starts over fences and one victory, however he looks progressive and is one of a select few in the line up which are open to improvement. A big factor for previous National winners was their previous career best coming in a chase over at least three miles which Panda Boy has achieved when showing smart form, finishing runner up to Meetingofthewaters in the valuable Paddy Power Chase in December. He will relish the soft conditions and has a nice low weight for this stamina test. Well backed on Friday but edging back out slightly in the betting with most firms on Saturday morning.
Tip #4: Kittys Light
Kittys Light has got into the race as the bottom weight which is remarkable considering he won three big races last season including the Scottish National. With testing going over this trip, every pound will help so getting weight from her rivals could really tell in the closing stages. A really efficient jumper, a horse of this class off bottom weight looks an ideal each way bet. He will be the most popular winner having provided great enjoyment with his success over the past year for trainer Christian Williams whose daughter has been poorly.

Do you have a 100/1 Tip for the 2024 Grand National?
We actually tipped a horse at 100/1 a few years ago which was placed! We also had a winner at 50/1.
