SkyBet and get a £10 Free BetGot as far as Bechers first time round in 2011 but bounced back with a bang when taking the Becher Chase by a huge twenty-two lengths in December. Has also won the 3m 5f Classic at Warwick so must have a fince chance of seeing out the Aintree distance.
Bet on The Midnight Club now at 25-1 with
SkyBet and get a £10 Free BetRuby Walsh performed miracles to guide this horse into sixth place in 2011 after a bad mistake at the third fence and then being badly hampered at the fourteenth. Walsh said the horse became too careful at the fences after his early mistake but a seasons more jumping experience could make all the difference and this horse could be challenging for the top spot in 2012.
Sorry. Baby Run is not running in the 2012 Grand National

Has already had two spins around the National fences in the last two runnings of the Aintree Foxhunters, unseating his rider in 2010 and running out a good winner in 2011. Relatively few miles on the clock for a horse who will be twelve come the Grand National. Could still be ahead of the handicapper and it will be interesting to see how he is campaigned in 2011/12.

State Of Play and Big Fella Thanks have become Aintree stalwarts with both horses completing the course for the last three years.
Big Fella Thanks Grand National form figures are: 647
State Of Plays Grand National form figures are: 434
Both horses could go well again in 2012 and look a good bet to complete the course for a fourth time.
Many Grand National winners have run over the course before winning the race, whether that has been in a previous grand national or in a race run over the grand national fences such as the Becher or the Topham.
Here we look at the stats and trends surrounding aintree grand national course form and identify the runners for this years race with the best aintree course form over the grand national fences.
Many recent grand national runners have previously run over the grand national course either in a past grand national, the becher or the topham.
2010 Grand National runner-up Black Apalachi won the 2008 Becher ChaseThere are some obvious reasons why this is the case. If it is the long term plan for a horse to have a go at the aintree national, a trainer will want to give that horse some experience of the fences before spending some time aiming the horse at the big race. The becher and topham are often used.
The other reason is a good run in the becher or topham may cause a trainer to then plan a horse for a bid at the grand national.
See the list above for the stats of recent winners and placed horses so you can see how many of them have had previous course runs.
