LAmi Odds and Grand National Form
Has had two attempts at the National now with not very inspiring results but is now tumbling down the handicap. Was set an impossible task by the handicapper in 2007 and whilst this horse has won lots of money and competed against some top class horses he has only won 4 of his 40 plus races. Has been sent to Enda Bolger for a spell of point to pointing and cross country races in an attempt to regain his enthusiasm and this seems to have worked with the horse recording a win in a point to point and another victory over the banks in a cross country event at Punchestown. As a result was made favourite for the Cross Country Chase at the Cheltenham Festival but found stable companion Garde Champetre too strong and lost out by just under two lengths.
Is apparently one of JP McManus' favourite horses so it is no surprise that he has been gambled on this week. Perhaps even more money will come in for him?
