Bluesea Cracker Odds and Grand National Form
Irish National winner in 2010 but never got competitive when finishing fourteenth in the Aintree Grand National 2011.
Purchased by JP McManus in the run-up to the big race, Bluesea Cracker came in for plenty of support but this may have been punters overeacting to her sale to a Grand National winning owner. Whilst McManus obviously has purchased the mare with a view to winning the race it could be her long-term paddock potential that was the driving force behind the sale and perhaps punters should not get too carried away. She will obviously be hoping for wet conditions if she returns to Aintree in 2012 as her four wins under Rules have all come on very soft or heavy ground.
