Arbor Supreme Odds and Grand National Form
Progressive former Irish handicapper who recorded three wins in 2008. Slightly disappointing when well fancied for the Irish National in 2009 but bounced back when finishing a close third at the Punchestown Festival of that year to Ambobo.
Arbor Supreme is versatile when it comes to ground conditions he has won on good and soft ground. Stamina appears more assured than with some contenders as this son of Supreme Leader has victories at 29 and 30 furlongs.
Had something of an in and out season in 2010 culminating in unseating his rider in the Grand National.
Disappointed again in this season's Welsh National where he was pulled up but bounced right back to form when running Grand National favourite and then stablemate The Midnight Club very close in the Bobbyjo at Fairyhouse.
Definitely has the talent to run a big race in a National but displayed his inconsistency again at Aintree in 2011 when falling at the third last fence.
Arbor Supreme joined Jonjo O’Neill for the 2011/12 season it would appear in an attempt to revitalise the horse with a change of scenery and the fact that O’Neill has chose to keep the horse’s current handicap mark intact by running over hurdles suggests that connections are still hopeful of a strong showing from this horse in the 2012 Grand National.
