Aldaniti

Of course one of the best and well known Grand National stories was that of Bob Champion and Aldaniti. 

Aldaniti who was crocked and was given time to recover by his trainer Josh Gifford was always thought by Bob that he could win a National if they could get him back to full fitness. But Bob had his own problems when he was found to have cancer. However after a long hard struggle Bob overcame his illness and so did the horse and they went on to win the 1981 Grand National against all odds.
