Go Conquer Odds and Grand National Form 2019

17:54, 23 Mar 2019 Updated 17:59, 23 Mar 2019
Go Conquer's style of racing is to attack from the front and attempt to get his opponents on the back foot with his quick, bold jumping style. The former Jonjo O'Neill trained gelding done that to good effect twice last season when taking two handicaps at Fontwell and Ascot. Things haven't gone quite so well on his three subsequent outings and the suspicion was that his mark may have got a little too high. Before this season he moved to the Nigel Twiston-Davies yard and after a solid third in the Sodexo Gold Cup at Ascot, he was the runner up at Doncaster before returning to Doncaster to land a listed chase over three miles. Ran in Topham two years ago and finished the last, he was last of the completers but was badly hampered at the Canal Turn, the fact he finished the race is a positive.
