Ran a great race when finishing third in the 2007 National but may have just run out of stamina on the run in. Could possibly find extra this year as will only be nine years old and was only having his third run for Tom Taaffe after being moved from Robert Tyner's yard. Has had his season completely geared to the National this year, treading the traditional Irish path of racing predominantly over hurdles till the release of the weights. Ran a fair enough prep race at Leopardstown in March but everything went perfectly for him in he National last year and he just wasn't good enough - not sure there is any reason to believe he has improved enough to make up the difference.
