Grand National Lucky Dip

Irish Raptor has had seven attempts over the National fences and has finished 7th, 6th, 2nd, 6th, 1st, UR and Fell - quite a selection! He finally registered a success over the Aintree fences in the 2009 Topham but since then he has failed to complete, including falling at the 14th when prominent in last year's National. Irish Raptor obviously has a long association with the National fences but perhaps the horse isn't enjoying it as much as he used to? Aslo, stamina for the National remains in doubt as the eleven-year old gelding seems to find the better quality races a struggle at longer distances but he could lead the field for a very long way if given the green light again in 2011.
