Up with the pace for most of the way he only weakened over the last couple of fences and as a Scottish National winner on firmish ground you would imagine the really soft ground on Becher Chase day may not have suited him as well. Added to that he had also had a hard race just the week before and given the benefit of a rest before the National he could be the tip to take from the 2009 Becher Chase for the 2010 Grand National.
