Whinstone Boy Odds and Grand National Form
Lightly raced over fences and looked well handicapped before the 2010 Thyestes Chase and so it proved with an all the way victory in that valuable handicap.
Whinstone Boy followed that up with another win at Clonmel two weeks later and that pushed his mark up to 138 and into the realms of horses that might get into the Grand National but unfortunately he just fell short.
The 2011 looks a likely target for the horse as he hails from the same stable that guided Monty's Pass to Grand National victory in 2003 but connections may need a victory elsewhere to ensure he makes the race this time.
