Snowy Morning Odds & Grand National Form
Ran a great race for a young horse to finish just over five lengths behind Comply Or Die in the 2008 National but was saddled with 17lbs worth of extra weight in 2009 and found the burden too much for him to finish well beaten in ninth place.
Trainer Willie Mullins had questioned if Snowy Morning would go for the National in 2009 due to his hike up the handicap but, surprisingly, he could be better handicapped in 2010. Snowy Morning has won a chase this season and run some good races in defeat but has somehow managed to drop considerably down the handicap. He now finds himself on an official mark just two pounds higher than when third in 2008.
Intermittent jumping problems and the sporadic fitting of a tongue-tie would temper enthusiasm for this horse winning a Grand National but it's not out of the question that he could make the frame again.
