Snowy Morning Odds & Grand National Form
Ran a great race for a young horse to finish just over five lengths behind Comply Or Die in the 2008 National. Had been many peoples choice for that race on the publication of the weights but had blotted his copybook with a poor jumping performance in his National warm up at Fairyhouse. Doubts about his ability to jump round Aintree proved unfounded and Willie Mullins charge could be very strong contender in 2009, although following a fine second at Punchestown after Aintree his handicap mark is now 17lb higher than when he ran in the 2008 National so he will have to find quite a lot of improvement. The start to the 2008/09 season saw Willie Mullins question if Snowy Morning would go for the National in 2009 but he appears to have come round to the idea and the nine year old gelding looks set to try and improve on last year's great effort.
