  Royal Auclair put in a superb performance to finish runner up in 2005 when carrying 9lb more than the winner but departed at the first fence in 2006 and at the eleventh in 2007. His last victory came at Cheltenham in 2005 and he's now 13lb lower in the ratings than when finishing second to Hedgehunter in this race. Probably still needs to come down a few pounds to get competitive and has fell or unseated on his last three attempts at these fences.
