Lord Windermere Odds and Grand National Form 2018

12:33, 17 Apr 2018 Updated 12:41, 17 Apr 2018
Lord Windermere is a double winner at the Cheltenham Festival taking the RSA Chase in 2013 and the most prestigious race in National Hunt racing, the Gold Cup, in 2014. Unfortunately since then the horse’s form has rather tailed off with ten races without a further win. It should be taken into account though that the horse had to have twenty months off due to injury, returning in November 2016 with an excellent second to the useful Champagne Fever. That run suggested that at least some of the horse’s former class could still remain and as his official rating is now a huge twenty-one pounds below his peak, he could turn out to be dangerously well handicapped.
