King Johns Castle Odds & Grand National Form
Runner up to Comply Or Die in 2008, King Johns Castle had a very disjointed season in 08/09 when he went in and out of the Grand National betting on two separate occasions.
He was originally apparently ruled out for the season early on in the campaign but then responded well to treatment and made it back to the racecourse for a spin over hurdles in March. It then appeared that it was all systems go for Aintree after this but shortly before the race the horse was withdrawn again.
Remains on a mark of 145 and would need to come back to his best to justify that sort of rating. Must be considered a fragile prospect judging by his stop-start preperation since 2008.
