Killyglen Odds and Grand National Form 2013
Won the Mildmay Novices Chase at Aintree for Howard Johnson in 2009 but then appeared to develop a bit of a questionable attitude and was pulled up in three out of his last four outings for the stable.
Then moved over to Ireland to Stuart Crawford who brought the gelding back to the UK to run in the Grimthorpe Chase (a race he had finished second in for Johnson) and ran well when making the running until weakening late on.
Ran in the Grand National last season and was in the process of running an excellent race when coming to grief at the fourth last fence. Considering Killyglen went off at 66/1 he ran well over most people's expectation and connections have had this year’s Grand National as the aim all season.
Killyglen has a decent pedigree for stamina and after his recent win at Down Royal he has come in for significant ante-post support.
