  Strongly fancied in the early exchanges for the 2007 National but interest seemed to falter in the days before the race and he ran accordingly putting up a disappointing display. Had a very busy season in 05/06 where he won six races in succession and it may be that his exertions in that season will take a while to recover from. He also may have reached an unfavourable handicap mark for the time being but his shrewd trainer will know when to exploit this area again. Noises from the Martin stable seem to suggest that he is quietly fancied for the 2008 National.

This horse has been readied for this race for a long time and now that Cornish Rebel has pulled out, he gets the opportunity he deserves. Tony Martin really knows how to get horses ready for the big handicap chases and this one is no different. Hes been lightly raced all year and i expect him to be backed in to a much shorter price before the off. Im gonna go back him now while theirs still some value about him
