Dream Alliance Odds and Grand National Form
Undoubtedly talented but had been frustrating to follow and had more letters in his form than numbers before bouncing back to form in no uncertain terms in the Welsh National. Looked certain to have a good season when finishing runner-up to Denman on his reappearance in the 2007 Hennessy at Newbury but failed to complete on three subsequent appearances and retirement was mentioned after a career threatening tendon injury.
Philip Hobbs gave him eighteen months off after revolutionary stem-cell treatment and after an opener over hurdles Dream Alliance was aimed at the Welsh National. Racing at Chepstow off the mark he finished second to Denman from in the 2007 Hennessy he looked much more like his old self and held off a determined challenge from Silver By Nature to give Hobbs his first win in the Welsh National and a huge amount of pleasure to his large group of owners.
It looks highly likely he will run at Aintree and given the gambles that have taken place on horses from the Hobbs yard in the National in recent years his current price might well be worth taking.
