Cappa Bleu Odds and Grand National Form 2013

Looked a horse with a huge future after taking the 2009 Cheltenham Foxhunters on his debut under Rules but things have not worked out as originally seemed likely. Cappa Bleu went into training with Evan Williams after his Cheltenham success but suffered a serious fall in the 2009 Hennessy and as taken a while to find his form after that setback. Returned to running under Rules in November of this season after over eighteen months off the track but managed to win at the first time of asking, taking a decent handicap at Haydock. Following that run Cappa Bleu ran next at Chepstow in the Welsh National where he ran well in ground that he did not enjoy to finish third to Le Beau Bai. In the same ownership as Grand National stalwart State Of Play and it looks as if both horses will run in the National.
