Cant Buy Time Odds and Grand National Form
Made a remarkable rise up the weights in 08/09, beginning that year with a win at Southwell off 100 and then three further successes saw his official rating rise to a mark of 142. He was especially impressive when recording his biggest success at Sandown in Jan 09 when hardly breaking sweat to see off Erics Charm by a very easy looking six lengths.
Plenty of stamina appears in his pedigree (Supreme Leader by a Deep Run mare) so could have a chance of seeing out the marathon trip, although appeared to run out of steam in the 4m National Hunt Chase at Cheltenham in 2009 and did not look as though he was going to be involved in the finish when falling at the eighteenth fence in that season's National. Connections may point to the fact that the horse made a mistake at the first fence that day and may have not got into a rhythm after that but a hard-fought win over 2m 5furlongs in Jan 2010 did not do much for those arguing the case for this horses stamina.
He fell again in the 2010 Grand National at the Canal Turn and hit the deck for the third time when coming down at the eighteenth in 2011.
Hard to see how things could improve if given another entry in 2012.
