Blaklion Odds and Grand National Form 2019

12:37, 19 Sep 2018 Updated 12:41, 19 Sep 2018
From a stable with a reputation for not shying away from a challenge, they sent this runner to the Grand National last year and he was well supported being sent off the 8/1 favourite and finished in the places in fourth. Twiston-Davies has won the Grand National twice before so undoubtedly knows the type of horse suited to the Aintree test. Since his Grand National run last year, he has finished runner up to Bristol De Mai in the Charlie Hall at Wetherby before returning to Aintree and the Grand National fences in the Becher in which he was a runaway winner with The Last Samuri nine lengths back in second. Ran in the Grand National Trial at Haydock in February where he was unable to concede over a stone to the very easy winner Yala Enki. Form over the National fences has to be a positive for him going into the 2018 Grand National.
