Beshabar Odds and Grand National Form
Created a huge impression when winning the 2011 Scottish National as a novice.
Jumped boldly and well that day and attacked the field from the front, seeing out the 4m 2f trip well to hold of the challenge of the previous year's Scottish National winner, Merigo.
Beshabar's lack of experience would appear to be the main bar to his winning an Aintree Grand National. With only eleven races under NH Rules until the end of the 10/11 season and only five of those over fences, this son of Flemensfirth would probably need to build up his experience over the larger obstacles but we do need to consider that he has had enough raw talent to win a Scottish National with such relative inexperience. He remains a horse with immense promise and was included in many ante-post portfolios for the Grand National but sadly the news from his stable is that following his last run he is unlikely to make it to Aintree this season.
