Beat The Boys Odds and Grand National Form
At the time of writing Beat The Boys has had sixteen races over fences and has won six of those and had been pulled up in six. Suffice to say consistency is not one of this horse's strong points! His last eight outings read as - PFP1P1PP so its proving very difficult to predict when he is going to run well.
It would seem he is a horse who benefits from getting into a good rhythm in his races and whilst he may not need to lead he appear to get off to a good start with his jumping and perhaps if he starts to make mistakes he loses interest.
If you want to take an extremely optimistic view it could be that a different challenge such as the Grand National may be exactly what he needs and it may reignite his enthusiasm.
He is obviously a very talented horse and capable of springing a surprise when everything clicks for him.
