Ballytrim Odds and Grand National Form
Something of a law unto himself and whilst he is undoubtedly talented it is a very difficult process trying to work out just when he might be putting his best foot forward.
Always well regarded, Ballytrim was only an 8/1 shot for the Cheltenham Bumper in 2006 but took eight attempts over fences to get off the mark.
Since trainer Willie Mullins has put him in handicap company he has won three races at distances ranging from 24f to 30f.
He may well be up to winning again despite going up a total of twenty-six pounds in the weights as he recently finished third to Siegemaster and The Midnight Club in the ultra competitive Thyestes Chase.
Despite a victory on yielding going Ballytrim's best form looks to be on ground with plenty of cut in it so he may struggle to find optimum conditions at Aintree.
